According to customer feedback, the CM3588 NAS Kit is incompatible with certain Western Digital SSDs, including the WD Blue SN580 NVMe SSD and the WD Black SN850 NVMe SSD. It is recommended to use NVMe SSDs of other brands or models. If you are using one of these drives, note that Western Digital has officially released firmware updates. We strongly recommend backing up your data, connecting the drive to a Windows PC, and using Western Digital's official tool to update the firmware to the latest version.

Introduction

The CM3588 Plus NAS Kit is a carrier board designed based on the CM3588 Plus core module. It includes 4x M.2 Key M PCIe 3.0 x1 slots, 2x USB3.0 Type-A ports, 1x USB3.0 Type-C interface with DP support, dual HDMI OUT ports, and one HDMI IN port, and a 2.5Gbps Ethernet interface.

Features

• The CM3588 Plus is a high-performance ARM module designed and developed by FriendlyElec. It is based on Rockchip’s RK3588 SoC. The regular version has 32GB LPDDR4x RAM, and 64GB/256GB eMMC Flash(optional), The CM3588 Plus has four 100-pin connectors, exposing nearly all IO resources.
• The CM3588 Plus computing module boasts a variety of peripherals and expansion interfaces. It can connect to a carrier board supporting 4 NVMe high-speed solid-state drives with read/write speeds of up to 1GB/s. Additionally, it includes dual HDMI-Out display interfaces, 1 HDMI-In interface, 2 USB3.0 ports, 1 USB2.0 port, a 2.5G Ethernet interface, and more.
• The carrier board (CM3588 Plus NAS Kit) has 2 HDMI output interfaces and 1 HDMI In interface that can decode and play videos in formats such as up to 8K60p H.265/VP9 and 8K30p H.264, with the ability to record 4K60p H.265 videos.
• The CM3588 Plus offers the OpenMediaVault NAS system and supports various operating systems including Android, Ubuntu, Debian, Buildroot, and OpenWrt. It has well-established software support. It is a perfect platform for startups to develop applications and prototypes in facial detection, machine vision, VR, autonomous driving, deep learning, AI, etc.
